Management of GUIDE
The GUIDE management team comprises the scientific director Prof. dr. Han Moshage and the deputy director Prof. dr. Ben H.C. Westerink. A team of support staff, consisting of two research coordinators, an educational coordinator, a management assistant and a secretary, supports GUIDE management. Our research philosophy starts from the idea that new concepts for treatment of diseases are most fruitfully initiated and explored by combining knowledge concerning the pathophysiology of a collection of related diseases with the knowledge concerning drugs.
GUIDE is organised in 9 research institutes, which are headed by programme coordinators. These coordinators are the renowned researchers of GUIDE. Programme coordinators and GUIDE management meet on a bimonthly basis to discuss research progress and new strategies. An Executive Board meets on a bi-annual basis to discuss strategic issues. An external Scientific Advisory Board provides additional support on strategic issues and future directions.
