Registration at GUIDE

Training & Supervision Plan (TSP)
Every PhD-student belonging to a GUIDE research group i.c. institute should be registered in the graduate school. Registration by means of a fully filled out and signed Training &  Supervision Plan  (TSP).

Registration in GUIDE gives you the opportunity to
- participate in GUIDE-courses,
- financial support for external courses, attending conferences, work visit abroad, printin costs for your dissertation (see link financial support).

GUIDE Log
The GUIDE Log (journal) is for you to register your study and research progress. After termination of the research period and before the Defense Ceremony the completed log must be delivered at GUIDE office. This paper version should be signed by you and your promotor. The PhD-education committee will assign the GUIDE certificate when a sufficient number of ECTS has been achieved. Together with the GUIDE certificate the log will be an official document at your Defense ceremony.

28 ECTS
The GUIDE postgraduate curriculum is based on the European Credit system. During the 'standard' four years research period a number of 28 EC must be obtained. The credits can be gained by joining courses and workshops (regional, national, international). The PhD education committee considers all other activities (mentioned in the old system) part of your daily life as a researcher, which need no extra credits.
